Kelvin is the founder and director of TWO73 Building Design & Interiors. With a Diploma in Architecture and a Degree in Architectural Science, he is committed to designing spaces that prioritize occupant comfort, sustainability, and elegance. He also holds certifications in Welding, Cabinet Making, LEED, and as a Passive House Tradesperson. Kelvin has extensive on-site experience being a carpenter in Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as, being highly skilled with BIM and building science software. Kelvin’s approach to design is rooted in a deep understanding of construction and a belief that a fulfilling lifestyle is mirrored by a comfortable and thoughtfully designed home.

Hayden is an Intern Architect with over 10 years of experience, contributing expertise to a diverse range of projects, from custom homes and multi-family residences to commercial spaces and healthcare facilities. Specializing in front-end design and project coordination, Hayden ensures every project phase is meticulously planned and executed. As a skilled BIM manager, Hayden enhances project efficiency and fosters seamless workflows using advanced design technology. With a strong passion for visualization and virtual reality, he brings concepts to life, creating immersive experiences that encourage collaboration between clients and teams, ultimately bringing visionary designs to reality.

Intern Architect

James is an Architectural Technologist and Project Manager at TWO73 Design, based in our Nelson studio. With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, James has developed a deep knowledge of design and project execution. Holding a diploma in Architectural Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, he has worked in senior management roles at top timber design-build firms. Specializing in computational design, James uses Rhino 3D and Grasshopper to tackle complex geometric challenges. He has also pioneered custom software to engineer and fabricate intricate timber structures. His approach combines simplicity and practicality, always with a focus on natural materials.

Jonathon Hoare is a designer at TWO73 with a Master of Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney. His experience spans top firms in Sydney, working on projects from public art and urban planning to high-end residential and multi-residential housing. Specializing in bespoke homes, Jonathon blends functionality with refined aesthetics. His philosophy values design at all scales, believing in quality “from the spoon to the city.” Proficient in advanced drafting software, he is sought after for solving complex design challenges with precision. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, deep client understanding, and dedication to excellence, Jonathon creates thoughtful, innovative spaces.

Thomas is a designer at TWO73 with a Bachelor of Architectural Design from the University of Melbourne. Working from our Nelson studio, he has developed his skills in building design with a leading developer of multi-residential projects in Australia. His experience spans a wide range of projects, from affordable housing to high-end luxury high-rise developments in bustling inner-city areas. Thomas’s design philosophy is grounded in a passion for environmentally conscious solutions. He aims to create architecture that harmonizes with its surroundings, using local materials and techniques to integrate structures into their natural contexts. Thomas designs buildings that are both functional and timeless.
